A perfume rep who lived in South Beach (Florida) wanted me to design a bed for him, but was at a loss as to how to describe the style of his other furnishings. Frustrated, I finally asked for simply the size of his bed
and he giggled and said with delight " Well, it's queen size!!! Ha ha ha". Queen size was my sole notation, so I decided to make a bed that resembled a crown/jesters hat. When I sent him his model, in a hat box, his boss thought it was a hat and wore it around the office thinking herself quite chic. Fun, fun client!
