Long before thoughts of origami mosaics entered my mind, there were works of linoleum, which bring memories of childhood and are warmer than ceramic and cut-able on a scroll-saw. This box reminds me of long afternoons at the California Academy of Sciences, often ending with a celestial presentation in the Planetarium. Colors and textures reflect a rare retro collection of tiles culled from a SF vintage tile location that no longer exists near Harvey Milk Park.
