I HAVE A PROPOSITION FOR YOU
2005
paper, vivera ink, canvas, hot-glue
59"x89"

In 2005, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger suddenly ranked among the most unpopular governors in modern California history, as residents grew increasingly unhappy about the action hero-turned-politician's budget plans and his call for a special election. Here, the governor is portrayed as a beefy pitchman with the numbers of the propositions he supported floating in the background in chameleon like guise. A map of California in cut into paper-doll shapes to represent cavalier power and manipulation.
